Lumiris Privacy Policy

Introduction

Lumiris ("Lumiris," "we," "our," or "the app") is an iOS application focused on capturing, masking, and enhancing iris photography. Protecting your privacy is a core design principle for the product. This policy explains what information the app processes, how that information is handled on your device, and the choices you can make.

Information we process

Lumiris does not collect or store personally identifiable information on external servers. All iris analysis, masking, and editing operations run directly on your iPhone using Apple's Core ML framework and our embedded OpenCV tools.

• Eye photos and edits: Photos you capture or import stay on your device. You control if and when you export or share a creation outside the app.
• Optional diagnostics: If you opt in through iOS settings, Apple may share anonymized crash or usage reports. These reports do not include information that can identify you.
• iCloud sync: When enabled, projects are encrypted end-to-end within your personal iCloud storage according to Apple's security and privacy policies.

How we store and protect data

Your projects, masks, and exports live inside the secure sandboxed storage allocated to Lumiris on your device. We do not operate our own backend infrastructure, and no eye imagery is transmitted to our servers. The app relies on iOS security features—such as hardware encryption, biometric protection, and App Sandbox isolation—to keep your content private. The app follows Apple's user privacy requirements, including App Store privacy nutrition labels and the AppTrackingTransparency framework.

Optional sync and diagnostic controls

You decide whether to use iCloud sync or optional diagnostics. You can disable those features at any time in iOS Settings. If you withdraw consent for diagnostics, new reports will no longer be generated. Existing exports or projects remain on your device until you delete them.

Third-party technologies

Lumiris relies on Apple frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, Core ML) and a bundled OpenCV library to power real-time segmentation and editing. We do not embed advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or data broker integrations. In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple's App Store in line with the Apple Media Services Standard EULA.

Children

The app is intended for individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through Lumiris, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

Policy updates

We may revise this policy to reflect changes in the app, regulatory requirements, or Apple platform guidelines. Any updates will be published on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Lumiris after the date of an update signifies acceptance of the revised terms.
